Get involved with the Home Medical Equipment Industry in Nevada by joining NAMPS in
.
NAMPS was incorporated in 1992. Since incorporating, the Association has been a very active and productive group.
Among NAMPS accomplishments are:
- Representing the HME position during the former and current development of the Nevada Respiratory Licensure Act,
- Educating companies regarding business practices that could appear as fraud and abuse,
- Keeping member organizations informed about state and national issues via the NAMPS COMMUNICATION, which is sent to the membership almost every week,
- Investigative work to achieve sales tax exemption for Medical Devices,
- Working with the State Board of Pharmacy which developed our Medical Devices, Equipment and Gases Licensure (MDEG) which had to be obtained by April 1, 2001,
- Writing NAMPS position papers to our state and federal legislators, as well as, publications to the NAMPS membership regarding the legislators' position on our issues,
- Developing an excellent working relationship with Medicaid on behalf of the membership.
As we look forward our goals include:
- Keep the membership informed of relevant issues concerning Medicare. NAMPS is an Active member of The region D Advisory Committee (DAC). We have one member on the Executive committee and two "A" team leaders. Many other members also participate on the "A" Team,
- Working with AAHomecare concerning Medicare Issues,
- Continue to support ethical business practices within our state,
- Work with the HME companies to assure that licensure works for all of us. Four members of NAMPS serve on an advisory committee to the Nevada Board of Pharmacy, which regulates us under MDEG Licensure,
- Continue our excellent working relationship with Nevada Medicaid,
- Continue to educate our elected officials about our industry,
- Keep the membership informed of relevant issues within our industry.
We can accomplish even much more with your participation! Our annual dues are only $300.00. Associate/Manufacturer memberships are only $300.
